Itinerary

Day Eleven - Wednesday July 11 - Puerto Vallarta to Tequila - 280 miles

8:00 am:  Be prepare to leave and go through Puerto Vallarta to Tanacatita (La Manzanilla).  You will see many coconut, banana and mango farms along the way.

10:00 am:  We will get off to small village on the Bay of Tenacatita called La Manzanilla about 90 miles from Puerto Vallarta.  The area is beautiful and a great place to vacation.  The waves are great for boogie boarding and the beach is wonderful to walk on. There is abundance of wildlife to observe, the caimans (crocodiles) in the lagoon are the northern-most species of their type in Mexico, the butterflies are unbelievable, the people are extremely friendly, and the food is really tasty.  Great place to stop for a drink!  Be sure to fuel your bike.

11:00 am:  Head the inland up the mountain to Ameca.  As we are approaching Tequila, you will see a vast field of blue agaves with their long sharp leaves anywhere that produce tequila.

6:00 pm:  Arrive Tequila.  Information on campground and motel will be given out later.  Don't worry; as far as you have traveled in Mexico, you will become a seasoned local biker in time.

Note:  By nightfall you will settle down at the place you found for your overnight stay and please remember that the plaza is a good place to find each others with your friends.  It is located right next to the tequila factory called Jose Cuervo on the corner.
