Day Five - Thursday July 5 - La Paz to Cabo San Lucas - 136 miles 8:00 am: Dine at the Applebee Restaurant for breakfast. 9:00 am: Depart La Paz for San Jose del Cabo via Mex 1. 10:30 am: Take a brief break at Los Barriles and fuel our bike. Los Barriles is yet another Baja Sur town with a serene atmosphere and resplendent setting. 11:00 am: Depart the Bahia las Palmas (Los Barriles). 11:25 am: The Tropic of Cancer, marked by a spherical concrete monument representing the 23.27 North Latitude parallel. Be sure to take some pictures of this place! 11:55 am: Depart the Tropic of Cancer monument for San Jose del Cabo. 12:45 pm: Arrive Baja Ferries office at Plaza Mega Cascada Comercial Mexicana Local 28 Blvd in San Jose del Cabo to buy tickets for our trip on a ferry to Topolobampo on July 7.
• Vehicle: $600 = $54.70 USD for motorcycle $1040 = $94.80 USD for car More information on Baja Ferries at http://www.bajaferries.com 2:00 pm: The road captain has no idea how long it will take for all riders to complete purchasing the tickets, but let's assume that it will be done by 2 p.m. We then will go on the last leg of our long journey in the Baja to Cabo San Lucas, the Land's End. 2:30 p.m. Arrive hotel in downtown called Las Margaritas Inn Hotel that has a parking space for motorcycles and is in the heart of old town of Cabo San Lucas. We stay in this town for two nights. 9:00 pm: Meet at the world's famous night club known as El Squid Roe to drink Corona or Tequila Popper and dance the night away.
