Be cautious: Motorcycle Policemen often accuse anyone for either speeding or running yellow lights.  The best way to avoid problems is to be extremely careful to keep your speed at or under the limit and at any stop sign or light.

La Paz is unlike the most Mexican cities, it is a sprawling, low-density community, which means you will need to get around at great length.  Luckily, though, it is fined to a fairly small area along the water's edge, namely Paseo Obregon where you would spend the most of time for dining and strolling along the malecon.
